ArHa! Cartoons:
ArHa! Cartoons were created within quarantine by designers Hanna Ahlberg and Alice Rose. The girls met while working at the Discovery Channel in London and went on to travel Asia and Australia together for 4 months until the corona pandemic cut their trip short. They are keeping positive in quarantine by creating these satirical cartoons to lighten everyone’s moods.
Two girls flew from London to Hanoi on 2nd March to meet up with their two other friends in Vietnam for a holiday. After just 5 days, the four girls were tracked down by authorities after a passenger on their Vietnamese Airline flight tested positive for coronavirus. They were held in quarantine at their hostel while awaiting medical results. Police were deployed to their accommodation to ensure the girls did not escape and hostel staff burnt mattresses and other items the girls had come into contact with. Three days after being tested for the virus, it was confirmed the girls had not caught it. However, they were still taken to a derelict hospital in Ninh Bình, North Vietnam, and ordered to stay isolated for a further 7 days. To tackle their boredom and stay sane, the girls, who work as graphic designers, have been creating corona prevention cartoons to add to merchandise.
